    Wladislaus II de Balling (Pools: Wladyslaw II Wygnaniec) (Krakau, Polen, 1105 – 30 mei, 1159, Altenburg, Duitsland) was de eerste groothertog van Polen. Hij was de zoon van Boleslaw III Scheefmond, hertog van Polen, en Zbislava, dochter van Svjatopolk II van Kiev.

    Wladislaus huwde Agnes van Babenberg, van Oostenrijk (1125), dochter van markgraaf Leopold III van Oostenrijk. Ze hadden samen drie zoons, Mieszko, Koenraad en Boleslaw I de Lange en één dochter, Richeza van Polen, die trouwde met Alfons VII, koning van Castilië en Leon.

    Na de dood van zijn vader, Boleslaw III Scheefmond, werd Wladislaus II, als oudste zoon, groothertog van Polen. Hij beheerste de groothertogelijke provincies Hertogdom Krakau en Gniezno en ook zijn erfprovincië Silezië.

    In 1146 werd Wladislaus II tot ballingschap gedreven door zijn jongere broers, en in 1159 stierf hij in Duitsland als balling.

    In 1163 werd de provincie Silezië geschonken aan Wladislaus's zonen door de hertog van Polen Boleslaw IV de Kroesharige. Daarop werd Silezië opgedeeld in wel 17 afzonderlijke hertogdommen onder Wladislaus' afstammelingen en opvolgers, totdat diens lijn uitstierf in 1675.
