    His grandfather was its founder, Artabazos I of Phrygia, son of satrap Pharnaces I (younger brother of Hystaspes, sons of Arsames (died ca. 520 BCE)

    The residence of the Pharnacid Dynasty was at Hellespontine Phrygia (near modern day Ergili, Turkey).
