    Gerardus (Gradus) Maria Lanphen (Blaricum, 17 mei 1932 - aldaar, 18 oktober 2009) was een Nederlands beeldhouwer en tekenaar uit Blaricum. Zijn figuurvoorstellingen zijn veelal van hout.

    Gradus was het vierde kind van de twaalf kinderen van Geurt Lanphen en Gijsbertha Calis uit Laren.[1] Het gezin woonde aan het Fransepad in Blaricum. Gradus werkte als ciseleur in de stad Utrecht. Hierna haalde hij zijn diploma als edelsmid aan de Rietveldacademie. Zijn vervolgstudie aan de Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten had als doel om beeldhouwer te worden. Vanaf 1970 werkte hij in een eigen atelier. Dit atelier was gevestigd in een oude bunker aan de Oostermeent, aan de Gooise zomerkade van het IJsselmeer bij de Stichtse Brug. In Londen volgde hij een kunststudie in het British Museum en in de National Gallery.

    Als gelovige maakte hij in 1959 en 1977 een voettocht naar Lourdes. Nadat hij op 73-jarige leeftijd in het Blaricummer ‘Torenhof’ was gaan wonen ging hij in 2009 naar verpleeghuis Beth Shalom in Amsterdam, waar hij op 18 oktober zou overlijden. Hij werd begraven op het kerkhof van de St. Vituskerk in Blaricum.
