In de kerkboeken van Mariënchor staat het volgende aangetekend: 1766 den 29e Augustus is de kerkvoogd Harmannes Wilhelmus Jansonius, na een landurige ziekte in het 71e jaar zijns ouderdoms overleden en de 5e Sept. begraven.
Harmannes wordt als broeder genoemd in de Huwelijksvoorwaarden te Winschoten gesloten den 25 Oct. 1730 tussen Wilhelmus W. Jansonius en Trijntje E. Lesterhuis.
In de kerkenboeken van Böhmerwold, 2 km van Mariënchor verwijderd werd nog het volgende ondekt onder de huwelijksaankondigingen:
21 Juli 1743 afgekondigd Harmannus Wilhelmus Janssonius, bruidegom van Mariënchor en Maayke Boelmans, hier van Böhmerwold, als bruid.
