    Harry Habraken woonde aan Anthoniestraat 5-rd in Haarlem en was directeur van de in het naastgelegen pand gevestigde Drukkerij v.h. Sint Jacobs Godshuis. Hij was niet aangesloten bij een illegale organisatie. Op verzoek van H.L. Spee (die als˜goede" rechercheur bij het Haarlemse politiekorps veelvuldig contact had met het verzet) en W. van Liemt jr., beiden handelend in opdracht van het gewestelijk resp. plaatselijk BS-commando, drukte Habraken begin september 1944 “ in de dagen waarinzeer velen het spoedige einde van de oorlog verwachtten“ ten behoeve van de NBS armbanden en legitimatiekaarten, een grote hoeveelheid rood-wit-blauw gerande aanplakbiljetten (proclamaties/bekendmakingen van de commandant van OD/BS-gewest 12, mr. N.J.G. Sikkel, en de commissaris van de koningin), pamfletten en programma´s voor de bevrijdingsdienst in de Grote Kerk van Haarlem. Toen de bevrijding echter uitbleef, werd een deel van het materiaal verborgen op een zolderkamer van het nabijgelegenRK Weeshuis St. Jacob aan Hagestraat 10. Als gevolg van verraad werd Habraken op zondagochtend 18 maart 1945 gearresteerd. Na een huiszoeking in zijn woning en drukkerij, werd hij overgebracht naar het HvB-Weteringschans in Amsterdam. Het vervaardigde drukwerk en bewaarde zetsel werden later alsnog gevonden. Op 15 april 1945 werd Habraken in Sint Pancras gefusilleerd. Hij is begraven op de Eerebegraafplaats Bloemendaal:
