bij geboorte van zijn zoon Jan wordt hij genoemd als stationchef van Woensdrecht.Na de spoorwegstaking van 1903/1904 is zijn loopbaan bij het spoor kennelijk tot een eind gekomen.Bij de huwelijken van zijn zoons daarna wordt hij genoemd als resp.steenkolenhandelaar of simpel handelaar.
October 1912 geeft hij aan : zonder beroep.
