Bij zijn afscheid op 1 november als conducteur werd er in de lokale krant een schrijven van hem gepubliceerd.;

Als conducteur van de R.T.M.
Vorige week nam de heer B.P.Koster de oudste conducteur der R.T.M. op Flakkee,afscheid.
De heer Koster mocht de R.T.M. gedurende 30 jaren dienen,waarvan 20 jaren op ons eiland,de overige heeft hij doorgebracht te Rotterdam en in de Hoekschewaard.
Hij is bij het reizend publiek van Flakkee algemeen bekend en gezien, daar hij tegenover dit publiek altijd zeer voorkomend en behulpzaam was.
Ook bij zijn collega’s stond hij al aangeschreven als een loyaal persoon ,op wiens welwillendheid men nimmer tevergeefs een beroep deed.
Gedurende den tijd da de heer Koster werkzaam was op Flakkee was hij o.m. ook secretaris van de groep Flakkee van de vereniging van Beambten der R.T.M. welke functie hij steeds met grote nauwgezetheid heeft vervuld en waarbij hij altijd streed voor de belangen van’t personeel . We herinneren hier slecht aan zijn medewerking voor de totstandkoming en daarna het behoud van het Pensioenfonds , wat helaas niet met dat succes bekroond is geworden ,dat men er gaarne had gezien.Wij wenschen vanaf deze plaats den heer Koster een rustigen levenavond toe .
