Op heden den eersten Februari negentien honderd en zes, verschenen in openbaar in het Gemeentehuis voor ons Gerrit Elhorst, Ambtenaar van den Burgelijken Stand der gemeente Enschede: Piet Brunselaar , oud twee en twintig jaren, koopman, geboren te Amsterdam , wonende te Enschede, meerder jarige zoon van Derk Brunselaar, stoelenmatter en van Frouwkje Kremer, koopvrouw, beiden wonende te Enschede, hier tegenwoordig en hunne toestemming tot dit huwelijk gevende,en Grietje Terpstra, oud zeventien jaren , koopvrouw, geboren te Dokkum, wonende te Meppel, minderjarige dochter van Jan Terpstra, vioolspeler en Maria Walon, koopvrouw, beiden wonende te Meppel, laatst genoemde hier tegenwoordig en hare toestemming tot dit huwelijk gevende,
Comparante verklaarde ons, dat haar vader zich in de onmogelijkheid bevindt om zijnen wil omtrent dit huwelijk te verklaren, daar deze sedert jaren een zwervend leven leidt en trots alle pogingen zij verblijfplaats niet is ontdekt kunnen worden, die ons verzochten tot de voltrekking van hun voorgenomen huwelijk over te gaan, waarvan de openbare afkondigingen, blijkens register van Huwelijks-afkondigingen, zijn gedaan voor de deur van het Gemeentehuis alhier op zondagen den een en twintigsten en acht en twintigsten Januari dezes jaars en blijkens overgelegd certificaat op gelijke zondagen in de gemeente Meppel.
Geene stuiting tegen dit huwelijk bekend beteekend zijnde, hebben wij den comparanten gevraagd , of zij elkander tot echtgenooten aannemen en getrouwelijk al de plichten zullen vervullen, welke door de wet aan den Huwelijken Staat verbonden zijn, welke vraag door hen toestemmend is beantwoord, waarop wij in naam der wet hebben verklaard dat door het huwelijk zijn vereenigd ; Piet Brunselaar en Grietje Terpstra.
Waarvan wij deze akte hebben opgemaakt in tegenwoordigheid van Bernardus Hindriks, oud vijf en veertig jaren, logementhouder, Friedrich Bartels , oud vier en veertig jaren, muzikant, Lambertus Oude Sellen, oud zes en twintig jaren , muzikant en Marinus Basstein, oud vier en twintig karen, Koopman, alle wonende te Enschede. En is deze akte na voorlezing onderteekend door ons, den vader van comparant en den vierden getuige,, verklarende de comparanten, de moeders van comparanten en de eerste drie getuigen geen schrijven te hebben geleerd.
