Notes about Anna Andersen

Rond 1889 vertrok Teunis van Noort 27 jaar oud als vrijgezel naar Pretoria in Zuid-Afrika. Hij was een zoon van Teunis van Noort en Margaretha Helena van Loon en een neef van de rijke Teun van Noort uit de villa "Aurora". Op 28 juni 1893 huwde hij in Zuid-Afrika met Anna Andersen, geboren 14 aug. 1866 te Amsterdam. Anna Andersen werkte onder meer bij haar zuster in huis, en haar zwager was huismeester bij President Paul Krüger, terwijl Anna hierbij assisteerde. Na de geboorle van twee kinderen vertrok het gezin Van Noort voor een vakantie naar Nederland. Tijdens hun verblijf in hel oude vaderland brak de Boerenoorlog Uit en het gezin kon niet meer terug. In Zwijndrecht heeft Teun met zijn broer Lambertus een kruidenierszaak annex slijterij en een rijwielzaak gedreven. In 1912 verlrok het gezin weer naar Zuid-Afrika en is daar gebleven. Nog weet men zich in Zwijndrecht te herinneren, dat de Zwijn d rechten aren bij hun aankomst hier ver¬baasd opkeken dat zijn vrouw Anna geen zwarte vrouw was, maar een blond Ger¬maans type.
Staand van links naar rechts: Een schoonzoon gehuwd met dochter Annie, zoon Lambert, dochter Mimi met haar echtgenoot, dochter Prikkie (Frederika) en uiterst rechts zoon Ferrie met zijn echtgenote. Zittend op stoelen van links naar rechts: dochter Ida, schoondochter gehuwd met zoon Teun, moeder Anna, vader Teun, dochter Gretha met haar echtgenoot. Op de voorgrond vijf kleinkinderen.
