As a mortgage he has put up a farm with twenty morning land in Hoenkoop.

(original Dutch) Afschrift van een akte ten overstaan van het Kapittel van Oudmunster te Utrecht, waarbij Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist 3800 gulden tegen 4 % leent van Cornelis van de Wetering, gehuwd met Adriana Harthals, koopman te Utrecht, voor zichzelf en als gemachtigde van van zijn schoonzusters Alida en Cornelia Harthals, gezamenlijke erfgenamen van Maria van Maarland, weduwe van Rijk Joosten Harthals. Als hypotheek heeft hij een boerderij met twintig morgen land te Hoenkoop gesteld.

Copy of a deed before notary Nicolaas Vonk in Utrecht, whereby Alida Harthals, widow of Gerrit Pluvier, and Cornelia Harthals, heirs of the late Maria van Maarland, widow of Rijk Joosten Harthals, grant power of attorney to their brother-in-law Cornelis van de Wetering, married with Adriana Harthals, to transport land in Hoenkoop on their behalf to Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist.

Cornelis van de Wetering, married to Adriana Harthals, merchant in Utrecht, for himself and as agent of his sisters-in-law Alida and Cornelia Harthals, joint heirs of Maria van Maarland, widow of Rijk Joosten Harthals, transfers eight morgen land to Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist in Hoenkoop eight morgen land in a piece of ten morgens in Hoenkoop, of which the two remaining morgens are borrowed at house Vliet. The land lies between the Rozendaalse and Polsbroeker divisions and is called to the east by Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist himself and to the west by Adriaan Wittert, merchant in Amsterdam. The land belongs to a farm with thirty morning land, which was bought by Gerrit Willemsz for 5000 guilders.

1711: Hendrik Bartholomeusz, oudste zoon van Bartholomeus Hendriksz, in leven gerechtsbode van Hoenkoop, en Willem Dirksz uit de Lange Weide en Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist te Hoenkoop als voogden over de andere, nog minderjarige kinderen van Bartholomeus Hendriksz en zijn eveneens overleden echtgenote Geertje Willems Stolwijk, sluiten een overeenkomst. Hendrik Bartholomeusz neemt de inboedel en veestapel uit de nalatenschap over tegen betaling van 350 gulden aan de gemeenschappelijke boedel en de opvoeding van zijn jongste broer Pieter op de door hem bewoonde boerderij. Een boerderij met twaalf morgen land, gehuurd door Jan Jansz van Vuijren, en nog vijf morgen land te Hoenkoop, gehuurd door Hendrik Bartholomeusz zelf, blijven onderdeel uitmaken van de gemeenschappelijke boedel. De gezamenlijke erfgenamen nemen ook een hypotheek van 2000 gulden ten behoeve van Gerard Verrijn en een schuld van 125 gulden ten behoeve van de Heilige Geestarmen te Oudewater over.

Hendrik Bartholomeusz (Hak), the eldest son of Bartholomeus Hendriksz (Hak), living court messenger of Hoenkoop, and Willem Dirksz from the Lange Weide and Gerrit Willemsz van Vlist in Hoenkoop as guardians of the other, still minor children of Bartholomeus Hendriksz (Hak) and his wife Geertje Willems Stolwijk, who also died, conclude an agreement. Hendrik Bartholomeusz takes over the household effects and livestock from the estate against payment of 350 guilders to the communal estate and the education of his youngest brother Pieter on the farm he inhabited. A farm with twelve morning land, leased by Jan Jansz van Vuijren, and five more land in Hoenkoop, leased by Hendrik Bartholomeusz himself, remain part of the common estate. The joint heirs also take over a mortgage of 2,000 guilders on behalf of Gerard Verrijn and a debt of 125 guilders on behalf of the Heilige Geestarmen in Oudewater.
