Op 26 oktober 1944 wordt Vught bevrijd door het Britse leger (51e Highland Division); hoewel bevrijd, was Vught nog niet vrij van de oorlog:
in de volgende maanden vinden nog tal van beschietingen plaats en stort een aantal V1's neer op Vught, Ook ons huis in de Heikantstraat 66 werd getroffen en zijn wij op 7 november 1944 geevacueerd naar de Elisabethstraat 46. Op 8 september 1947 zijn wij verhuisd naar de Maarten Harpertzoon Trompstraat 7-huis te Amsterdam.
