Ook werd hij benoemd tot secretaris - generaal van het Eerste Wereld - Pluimveecongres en Tentoonstelling . Tevens had hij de leiding van de wederopbouw van de pluimveestand in Waterland toen deze door een overstroming vrijwel vernietigd was . Hij genoot een uitstekend teken en schilderonderricht en werkte twee jaren lang in Amerika onder de beste illustrators op pluimveegebied .

Naast zijn vele werk op organisatorisch gebied , nationaal zowel als internationaal ( zo is hij sinds 1924 vice - president van de World's Poultry Science Association , de wereldorganisatie voor wetenschappelijke pluimveeteelt ) , schreef hij ook een vijfdelig geillustreerde pluimveestandaard ( voltooid in 1960 )

Cornelis Simon Theodorus van GINK was niet alleen een uitmuntende organisator maar een unike man die wereldfaam
verwierf als veelzijdig getalenteerd tekenaar, schilder, schrijver, fokker en keurmeester. Zijn tekeningenen en aquarellen sieren vele boeken en vaktijdschriften in binnen- en buitenland.

De hand van de meester is steed herkenbaar in zijn tekeningen
van hoenderassen, zoals kippen en duiven. Daarnaast was een begenadigd kweker van dit soort hoenderassen en heeft door
het kweken vele nieuwe soorten hoenderrassen ontwikkeld.

Vanwege zijn belangrijke bijdrage aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe soorten - door jarenlange kruisingen van bestaande rassen
- werd hij tijdens zijn leven maar liefst 3-maal geridderd :

-Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau
-Ridder Eerste klasse der Orde van Wasa van Zweden .
-Ridder der Dannebrogsorde van Denemarken .

-en andere onderscheidingen .
