    Tekst bidprentje: "
    In dankbare herinnering aan onze medezuster

    MARIE IMELDA
    (Agatha, Cornelia. Maria Brandt)

    Geboren te Amsterdam 19 mei 1895.
    Ze legde haar Eerste Geloften af in de Congregatie van de Zusters Gelaten van de Assumptie 8 december 1925

    Zij overleed in het klooster te Hulsberg 16 november 1989.
    Zij werd begraven op het kloosterkerkhof 20 november 1989

    “Hier ben ik, Gij hebt mij geroepen” - 1 sam.3-5

    Vastberaden - zoals ze altijd is geweest - reisde ze van Amsterdam naar het verre Zuiden om zuster te worden.
    In Hulsberg waren ze juist aan het verhuizen van de boerderij naar het nieuwe klooster. Meteen werd er mee aangepakt. Na de studie voor onderwijzeres heeft zij een groot deel van haar leven besteed aan de opvoeding van
    de jeugd in Hulsberg, Voerendaal en Bergeijk.De leeftijd van 65 was voor haar geen bezwaar om nog enkele jaren in Zaïre te gaan werken. Ze was er graag. Jammer dat ze vanwege de onlusten met de medezusters moest terugkeren naar Nederland.
    Wat de kerk en de Congregatie van haar vroegen: dat deed ze onmiddellijk. Het was duidelijk Gods wil. Tot het einde van het leven volgde zij nauwlettend alles wat er gebeurde. De geschiedenis van de Congregatie kende zij van buiten. Geloven was voor haar natuurlijk en vanzelfsprekend. Ze hield van gezelligheid en wat ze erg graag deed;
    samen met de zusters toneel inoefenen en er daarna eindeloos van genieten. Haar geest én haar handen hebben niet veel stil gestaan, bekend waren haar fijne haakwerken.
    Het kostte veel moeite en geduld om haar ouder worden te aanvaarden. Ze bleef er tegen vechten met veel wilskracht. Ze was dankbaar voor alles wat daar medezusters voor haar deden, zeer tevreden over de fijne verzorging. lichamelijk was zij óp toen zij rustig is ingeslapen.
    De pretlichtjes in haar ogen zijn gedoofd, haar vaste plaats is leeg...
    Maar wij geloven dat zij nu ziet waarvan de Apostel spreekt: "Geen oog heeft gezien en geen oor heeft gehoord wat God bereid heeft voor wie Hem liefhebben".

    Hartelijk dank voor Uw medeleven.

    Zusters Oblaten van de Assumptie en familie"
