      Jannes Klazes Troost (1797-1872). Hij was opgegroeid in de Wolfsbos, als zoon van Klaas Roelofs Troost en Femmigje Jacobs Tieta. Zijn kinderen werden geboren aan de Molendijk en in het Haagje. Hij was schipper. Al in de 19e eeuw was onduidelijk wanneer Jannes als turfmakelaar was aangesteld. De toenmalige rentmeester ging op zoek tussen de papieren en vond een aanstelling uit 1838. Jannes was turfmakelaar tot zijn dood, maar vanwege zijn gezondheid niet meer in staat om het beroep zelf uit te oefenen. Jannes was getrouwd met Geertje Veldman. Hij stief 28 oktober 1872. Zijn zoon bleef het ambt waarnemen.
