      Zwartsluis, 6 November. Heden morgen had de 50-jarige Jb. Prins, terwijl hij bezig was turf te lossen, het ongeluk van den bok in de Arembergergracht te vallen. 't Mocht den schilder W. Schurink gelukken hem, na veel moeite, behouden op het droge te brengen.

      Zwartsluis, 27 November. Toen Zaterdagavond, omstreeks 7 uur, de koster J. Blei in de Hervormde Kerk de kachels wilde aanleggen, ontdekte hij, dat het hek voor het portaal der kerk niet op slot was. Nadat hij licht had opgestoken, zag hij, dat de sluiting van de aanwezige 5 offerbussen was verbroken en deze geheel geledigd waren.
      Dat zulks nog kortgeleden was gebeurd, bewezen de natte voetstappen op den steenen vloer nabij de plaats waar de bussen hingen.
      Direct werd de politie met het geval in kennis gesteld, doch tot heden tast men omtrent den dader nog in het duister.
      Ook hebben dieven denzelfden avond of daaropvolgenden nacht een bezoek gebracht aan het pakhuis van den schilder W.J. Schurink en aldaar van het dak een strook lood ter lengte van pl. m. 2 Meter ontvreemd. Van dezen diefstal is ook nog niets bekend.
