An Obituary taken from the Winchester Star Newspaper reads; " Geraldine T. Slonaker, 82, of Ganatown, W. Va., died Tuesday, June 11 2002, at her home. Mrs. Slonaker was born Dec. 31, 1919 in Tunnelton, W. Va., the daughter of Arthur C. and Gertrude Sherren Taylor. She retired in 1984 from Corning Glass. She attended Central Chapel in Ganatown. She was married to Delbert T. Slonaker. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Bennett of Ganatown; a brother, Bernard "Joe" Taylor of Ganatown; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at South Berkley Chapel, Inwood, W. Va., with Pastor Donald E. Cherry and Pastor Irvin Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Central Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel."
