Willard A. "Mac" MacDonald
Dec. 25, 1935 - March 9, 2003

Willard A. "Mac" MacDonald, 67, of the town of Waukesha, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1935, in Somerville, Mass., to Neil and Elsie (nee Sherren) MacDonald.
On March 31, 1962, he married the former Carol Andrews in Medford, Mass. Mac was a retired chief from the U.S. Navy. He served his country with pride and dignity. His love for his country shinned in his more than 20 years of service. Through that service he defended this great country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the New Berlin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5716. His experience in the Navy gave him a sound sense of humor in the most serious situations. This often followed odd little sayings, such as, "Lord love a duck", "Keep it simple", or the all so favorite, "Don’t sweat the small stuff." Love of family, farming, carpentry and mechanics were his passions. There was not a machine that Mac didn’t think he could not fix, which was often true. Mac was a brilliant man with a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Carol of 40 years, along with their children, Laura Schetter of Virginia Beach, Va., Scott MacDonald of Rosemont, Minn., Lorna (Joseph) Weber of New Berlin and Shawn (Kristin) MacDonald of Waukesha. He was a loving grandfather to Christopher and Richard Schetter, Adam, Colton and Jacob Weber, and Alexander and Landon MacDonald and loving brother of Lorraine Andrews of Winchester, Mass., and Evelyn (Calvin) Williams of New Berlin. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Ray Frost of Clearwater, Fla. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Frost, and a cousin, Marjorie Cochrane.
