In Memory of Neal Schouten, September 14, 1935 - February 3, 2012
Neal Schouten aged 76 of Grand Rapids passed away Friday, February 3, 2012. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Hank Hormann. Neal will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Joyce, children; Michael (Marcia) Schouten of Lake Katrine, NY, Timothy (Barbara) Schouten of Negaunee, MI, Randall (Margaret) Schouten of Silverthorne, CO, foster son Arthur Vandon Wyngaard, grandchildren; Thomas, Justina, Stephen, Rachel, John, Daniel, sisters; Audrey (Bill) Masselink of Prince Edward Island, Canada, Ann Hormann of Leusden, Netherlands, brother Jack (Nelly) Schouten of Vancouver Island, Canada and many nieces and nephews. Neal was a longtime member of the Carom Billiard Club; he was an avid cyclist and loved to travel. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at Lemon Holton Cancer Center. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at New Community Church 2340 Dean Lake Rd NE Grand Rapids, MI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. For those who wish, memorials can be made to Faith Hospice or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
