In Testimony Whereof, The appearer signed this, his consent together with the Witnesses, and me, and said Justice of the Peace, a the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS, this 19th day of February, 1866. WITNESSES: Louis Kaiser, A.A. Levey (probably Arnold).
LET IT REMBERED, That LOUIS KOTTWITZ, as Principal and LOUIS KAISER, as Surety, acknowledge themselves indebted unto the State of Louisiana, in the sum of thousand dollars. WHEREAS, the above bounden LOUIS KOTTWITZ has applied the undersigned, Third Justice of the Peace for the Parish of Orleans, and has obtained from him a License to Marry Miss ADELINE LEVEY. Now the Condition of the above Obligation is such, That in case within two years from the date it should not appear that there existed at the time of granting such License, any legal impediment to said Marriage, then and in such case the above Obligation shall be null and void, or else it shall remain in full force and virtue.
