Profession: Piet Borst begon als bloemistknecht. Daarna heeft hij enige jaren met zijn broers Chris, Leen en Peet loonwerk aangenomen in de agrarische sector. Nadat hij nog een tijd als stratenmaker in loondienst is geweest, kwam hij tenslotte in de woningbouw terecht. Hij woonde te Noordwijk.
(Anecdote) in Piet was een trouw lid van het parochiële koor 'Maria ter Zee' en van de bij de kerk behorende Schola Cantorum. Hun 45-jarig huwelijksfeest werd feestelijk opgeluisterd door de muzikale inbreng van de zangverenigingen 'Noordzeekoor' en 'Seaside Singers', van welke koren Piet Borst ook deel uitmaakte.
He died in the year 1982 in Noordwijk, he was 68 years old.
