He also bequeathed certain lands to his oldest son William andgrandson William as well as to his son Richard Carpenter.This Will, copy now at the Carpenter Museum in Rehoboth, MA, is the onlyoneever found in England that agrees with all the proven facts about theAmericanCarpenter Family. The success in proving this lineage after 300 years offailure was achieved through the superlative work of English GenealogistHarry F. Rogers of Abington, England.Harry's sister Lilly (Mrs. Leslie Shepard Carpenter) attended a recentreunion (in the early 1990s) of the Carpenter and Related FamilyAssociationin Alabama with Raymond G.
