Notes about Marcy Mercy Sabin/

She was a member of The First Church of Christ of Bristol, RI.
This family lived in Swansea until 1686/87, in Rehobeth until 1701, briefly ion Bristol MA (now RI) abd were in Plainfield, CT by 1704. The births of their children are recorded variously in Swansea, Rehobeth, Bristo;, and Plainfield. On 8 and 9 Mar 1723/24 James Welch Sr. deeded "for love" to sons John Welch and Ebenezer Welch, land in Plainfield. Administration on the estate of James Welch was granted to eldest son James 22 Nov 1726. The inventory taken by Joshua Whitney, Philip Bump, and Joseph Lawrence, waqs recorded 10 Feb 1726/27. The widows tjird was set of to "Relick Marcy" 18 Jun 1728, and shares to Jaqmes, eldest son; Samuel, 2nd son; Thomas, 3rd son; and daus Elizabeth Lawrence, Mercy Spaulding, and Martha Welch, the others having had their portion. A Voluntown CT deed of 18 Jun 1728 shows that James Welch of Voluntown, Thomas Welch of Windham, Thomas Spaulding and wife Mercy of Plainfield, Daniel Lawrence and wife of Killingly and Martha Welch of Plainfield CT conveyed "for love to our brother Samuel Welch of Voluntown, 100 acres where said Samuel now lives, being land of which our father James Welch died seized.
