Notes about Gerhardus Hendrikus Kok

Begonnen als een boerenknecht op de boerderij te Lengel (gem. Bergh). Ze hebben in ieder geval van 1908 tot 1918 in Lengel gewoond, in de 'Botterzak', zo genoemd naar café 'de Botterzak'wat hier gelegen was. Mogelijk het tegenwoordige café Meijer.

Daarna zijn ze vertrokken naar Braamt (gem. Bergh). Vervolgens had hij een tijdlang een café annex bakkerij in Gaanderen, aan de huidige Kerkstraat. De bakkerij werd gebruikt door ene Bos uit Zeddam. Dit moet in ieder geval rond 1920 geweest zijn.

Vanuit Gaanderen zijn ze naar Rekken verhuisd. Waarschijnlijk tot zo rond 1925. Dit huis bestaat nog steeds. Daarna hebben ze gewoond in Bladel (Brabant, aan de Belgische grens).

Van daaruit zijn ze naar Vragender (bij Lichtenvoorde) gegaan. Van hieruit trok hij naar de boerderij in Fleringen (Twente, Overijssel - C42), omdat hier toentertijd veel boerderijen leeg stonden.
