    Dominees van de Evangelisch-Lutherse Kerk in Noorwegen kregen de opdracht om alle sterfgevallen in hun rechtsgebied te registreren op de voorgedrukte formulieren in registerstijl die in deze verzameling werden gevonden en deze werden doorgestuurd naar het Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek en vervolgens gearchiveerd door het Nationaal Archief van Noorwegen. De formulieren werden door het Nationaal Archief gerangschikt per provincie/provincie, en slechts gedeeltelijk per parochie. Deze collectie is tot stand gekomen in samenwerking met het Nationaal Archief van Noorwegen.
