!Sir Roger Bigod 2nd Earl of Norfolk and Suffolk was a Magna Charta Baron Surety (MCB) (MCS). Roger was appointed by King Richard as Ambassador to Philip of France ot obtain aid for the recovery of the Holy land. In 1191, he was Keeper of Hereford Castle, and Chief Judge King's Court 1195-1202. He was one of the strongest advocates of the Charter of Liberty. He was excommunicated by Pope Innocent III.
