    L'an mil huit cent soixante dix-huit, le trente décembre, à onze heures du matin, pardevant nous maire et l'officier de l'état civil de la commune de Saint-Germain, canton de Saint-Savin, arrondissement de Montmorillon, département de la Vienne, ont comparu publiquement en la mairie : le sieur Epagneul Joseph Aimé, cultivateur, âgé de vingt-trois ans, quatre mois et vingt-trois jours, né en la commune de Martizay (Indre) le sept août mil huit cent cinquante-cinq, ce qui est établi par l'expédition de son acte de naissance qu'il nous a représentée, fils mineur et légitime d'Epagneul Jean, marchand de bestiaux, âgé de cinquante-six ans, et de Marie Pilorget, sans profession, âgée de soixante ans, avec lesquels il est domicilié à Boisherpin, en cette commune, les père et mère du comparant ci dessus dénommés et qualifiés, présents et consentants au mariage, d'une part ;
    et demoiselle Genet Marie Marguerite Clémence, sans profession, âgée de vingt-et-un ans, huit mois et dix-neuf jours, née en cette commune le onze avril mil huit cent cinquante sept, ce que nous avons constaté nous-même sur les registres de l'état civil, fille majeure et légitime de Genet François, propriétaire, âgé de cinquante-et-un ans, et de Florence Berthomier, sans profession, âgée de quarante-sept ans, avec lesquels elle est domiciliée à Bouësse, en cette commune, les père et mère de la comparante ci-dessus dénommés et qualifiés, présents et consentants au mariage, d'autre parts ;
    Lesquels nous ont requis de procéder à la célébration du mariage projeté entre eux et dont les publications ont été faites en cette commune les dimanches huit et quinze du présent mois de décembre sans donner lieu à aucune opposition. Les futurs époux, ainsi que les personnes ci-présentes pour autoriser le mariage, interpellés par nous en exécution de la loi du dix juillet mil huit cent cinquante, sur l'existence d'un contrat de mariage, nous ont remis un certificat duquel il résulte qu'il en a été fait un entre eux, reçu le treize décembre courant par Maitre Gaston Duparc, notaire à Saint-Savin. Aucune opposition ne nous ayant été signifiée, faisant droit à leur réquisition, après avoir donné lecture de toutes les pièces ci-dessus mentionnées ainsi que du chapitre six du titre du code civil intitulé « Du mariage », avons demandé aux futurs époux s'ils veulent se prendre pour mari et pour femme ; Chacun d'eux ayant répondu répondu [sic] séparément et affirmativement, déclarons publiquement et eu nom de la loi que Epagneul Joseph Aimé et Marie Marguerite Clémence Genet sont unis par le mariage. De tout quoi nous avons dressé acte en présence des sieurs Jacquelin Victor, cultivateur, âgé de trente-deux ans, domicilié en la commune de Concremiers (Indre), cousin germain de l'époux ; Massy Sylvain, cultivateur, âgé de trente ans, demeurant aussi en la commune de Concremiers (Indre), beau-frère de l'époux ; Joyaux Florent, propriétaire, âgé de cinquante-cinq ans, oncle par alliance de l'épouse, Chagnon Juste, aussi propriétaire, âgé de cinquante-et-un ans, ami des époux, ces deux derniers tous domiciliés à Bouësse, en cette commune. Lecture faire, la mère de l'époux a seule déclaré ne savoir signer. Approuvé un mot rayé comme nul.
