      American Jewish Archives vol. XLIV Spring/Summer, 1992 Number 1 Page 81. There is a discrepancy with regards to the date of marriage, in "History Of The Jews of The Netherlands Antilles" pg 993 gives a date of marriage as Jan 29, 1681. A dowry of 4,500 dfl was given for the marriage of Ester Fundam and 6,000 dfl was given as a dowry for Sarah Fundam.
      He belonged to a group of Jewish magnates in the Hague circle of Stadholder William III, later King William III of England. He was a freighter of Brazilian sugar ("Stones of Memory" pg 89)
