The land had originally been owned by Joshua Lumbard and had been six acres in size; one acre was retained in the sale. George had also purchased the dwelling house and sixteen acres of land from Robert Shelly on 19 May 1656. In addition, he had his share in the common lands, and two lots of three acres apiece at Sandy Neck. the common field at Mattachiest for £2 16s from John Yanno, Indian of Gay Head at Nope Island, eldest son and heir of Yanno, sachem of South Sea in Barnstable, deceased. 20 March 1709/1710, aged about 80.3538130bard.
