Gladys Bannister McCracken
MEIGS — Gladys Bannister McCracken, 89, of Meigs, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dion Brown and the Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul officiating.

Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Lynn McCracken, Jeffrey Taylor, Jacob Parker, Cory McCracken, Brian McCracken, Mark Brackin, Greg Wells and Michael Borchardt.

Born March 10, 1921, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Anton Bannister and Pearl Eola Beck Bannister.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Heyward McCracken; two brothers, C.H. Bannister and Frank Bannister; and two sisters, Lorraine Presley and Lota Wincey.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 3, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb Funeral Chapel.
