Aanvankelijk pachter op een hoeve met 53g bouwland in het West Nieuwland van prof. Reinier BONTIUS wonend te Leiden en
van de familie van DAM; tevens pachter van 7g land van de familie van SPREEUWESTEIJN, en van een aantal percelen van de
grafelijke domeinen 1594-1610 als opvolger van Jacob Janzn ROSE, de overleden echtgenoot van zijn eerste vrouw, Grietje
CORNELISDR. Tot 1631 was hij eigenaar van een haaigemet-hoeve, groot 33 g., in het Oude Land en sedert 1637 eigenaar
van een huis aan de Boompjes te Ouddorp. Schepen van het Oude Nieuwland 1628-1635.
