Arie en Niesje wonen in De Banne van Gorkum aan de Arkelse Dijk 24. Twee jaar na zijn huwelijk (in

1846) krijgt hij in 1848 de bezittingen van zijn vader: huis, boomgaard, bouwland, weiland i
n Het

Hoogland, vier perceeltjes weiland aan de Nieuw Wolpherense Dijk en het huis aan de Molen straat

in het centrum van Gorkum. Hij koopt zelf ook een aantal lapjes grond (van kadasternu
mmer 2446).

Voor overzicht zie verhaal van Marcella Bremer: Kentering vanaf 1874 tot 1883. Daarna gaan ze op

30 juni 1884 naar Arkel, de geboorteplaats van Arie. Op 6-9-1884 komen ze aan i
n Rotterdam. Daar

probeert Arie aan de kost te komen als arbeider. Niesje wordt op 23 sep ingeschreven in het

bevolkings register. Ze wonen achtereenvolgens in Oppert 31-2, Oppert 11-8, Ka
lverstraat 9-5,

Kalverstraat 9-1, Botersteeg9, Kalverstraat 9-1, Botersloot 26-1 en Verlaatstraat 30-5.,
