Notes for AMBROSIUS LOETE:
He was sent 05-05-1871 to Brunssum (NL) to his mothers brother Gabriel Minnaert, after the early death of his father Ludovicus Loete. Gabriël Minnaert (b. 06-07-18
16, Damme-Lapscheure (B); d. 19-01-1905, Mönchengladbach (D)), married on 21-04-1852 with Gertrud Maria Raets in Brunssum. Ambrosius Loete became farmhand at Hohenbusch-Gangelt and lived (1879) in St
ahe near Gangelt, Dorfstrasse 75. But he settled in Koningsbosch between 1880 and 1884, Kaplaan Verdonschotstraat (house to the right hand of farmhouse van Cruchten). His very small house was na
med Sonnewende, because of the beautiful sight on the sunrise and sunset visible at the top of the Kaplaan Verdonschotstraat.Thereafter it was called Bobbys heim, Bobby was a cus
toms officer, who toke over the house of Ambrosius. Now there is nothing left of this house (demolished). The farmland was called steureland, after Stahe where Ambrosius came from.Ambrosi
us and his wife Anna were both buried at the churchyard in Koningsbosch.
