Volgens ZA is deze Joos in 1765 in Wissekerke (?) geboren. Daarna verhuisd naar Bath en op 1 maart 1807 verhuisd naar Baarland/Bakendorp (Zuid-Beveland).

rekeningen van de Nassause Domeinen). Daarnaast is er een schippersgilde, waarvan de zeven leden regelmatige beurtdiensten onderhouden op tal van plaatsen. In de lokale archieven vinden we niet alleen
voor de hand liggende bestemmingen als Bergen op Zoom en Middelburg maar ook Rotterdam.
