Op 19-01-1882 verwerft Klaas de "Gravelandenboerderij", opp.18ha,15are en 48 ca. bestaande uit bouwmanswoning, twee stenen schuren, hooibergen, tuin, arbeiderswoning met tuin en erf, twee eendenkooien
en een partij wei-, hooi-, bouw- en griendland en wateringen, in Laag Bilwijk (Stolwijk) voor Fl.22.500,-. Klaas kocht deze boerderij van Pieter Langeslag, bouwman te Haastrecht via een publieke verk
oping. Klaas verhuurt de boerderij voor Fl.1200,- per jaar aan zijn zoon Pieter. Pieter werd genoemd "Piet de kooiboer met twee eendenkooien". Klaas behoudt de boerderij na het overlijden van zijn vro
uw Neeltje Verdoold. Vervolgens was Klaas voogd over de minderjarige kinderen Cornelis, Willem en Wijnand en ook gemachtigde van zijn dochter Neeltje Inge. Na het overlijden van Klaas komt de boerderi
j vrijwel in zijn geheel in handen van zijn zoon Aris.
