LifeSketch: Alexander Stewart, Duke of Ross, was the 4th son of James IV, King of Scots, and his wife Margaret Tudor. Margaret Tudor was pregnant at the time of her husbands death on 9 September 1513. Baby Alexander was born on 30 April 1514, 7 months after his fathers death, at Stirling Castle. Tragically Alexander died 18 December 1515, at Stirling Castle, at less than 2 years of age.
