Op geboorteakte wordt als moeder Johanna Catharina Leendertsen genoemd, maar die was al ruim 20 jaar daarvoor overleden. Vader trouwt met haar zuster Catharina Hendrica die dus dezelfde achternaam heeft. Deze is 9 jaar jonger, wat ook de oude leeftijd verklaart van de vader bij de aangifte (52) Zijn eerste vrouw zou dan 50 zijn. Dat ze beiden de naam Catharina in hun namen hebben, veroorzaakt veel verwarring. Misschien ook wel bij henzelf. De moeder tekent immers met CJ Raff wanneer ze een familiebericht plaatst in de krant, terwijl ze volgens de geboorteakte CH Raff-Leendertsen heet. Ze tekent zelfs de huwelijksakte zelfs met CJ, terwijl ze daar genoemd staat als Catharina Hendrica.
