Hun eerste kind wordt geboren aan "Zwiers" in het Dorp, waar beide echtelieden als dienstboden werken. Tussen 1735 en 1737 stichten ze een katerstede in het Dorp dat de naam "Draaijom" krijgt. Op 24-08-1748 (VT) het gezin als 'Albert Drajomme met Vrouwe en 1 kind onder de 10 jaar' aldaar geregistreerd. Op 26-05-1769 draagt hij zijn boerderijtje over aan zijn opvolger, Jan Hendriks Broens, later Draaijom.
