Volgens het orgaan van de Oudheidk. Kring Bathmen trouwt het echtpaar eerst in op het oudershuis van Teunis. Dit is de pachtboerderij "Arkelstein" in Loo onder Bathmen. Reeds in 1774 wordt Teunis eigenaar en bewoner van boerderij "de Riete" of "de Rijt" in Loo en ook in 1781 wordt hij aldaar in dezelfde hoedanigheid vermeld. Ze hebben als bewoner van "de Riete" het echtpaar Berent Gerrits Rietman x Derkjen Hendriks Koerts opgevolgd. De boerderij gaat later "De Uutvlog" heten.
