In de zoektocht naar mijn voorouders stuit ik op de volgende uitdaging:

In de overlijdensakte uit 1848 van een voorouder (oudmoeder) Suse van der Meij wordt gezegd dat zij de dochter is van Teunis van der Meij en Jansje Swaron.
Een korte inleiding:
Suze zelf is na haar geboorte (dec 1808) naar een weeshuis in Amsterdam (19 december) gebracht met een briefje dat de naam van kind Soete van der Mije is.
Na 4 jaar (26 nov 1812) is zij "opgeeist" door de vrouw van de broer van Jansje Swaron.
Ogenschijnlijk is Suze het enige kind van Jansje geweest. Suze en de kinderen van Suze hebben wel bij Jansje gewoond.

Over de "vader" Teunis van der Meij is niets te vinden.
Wel is in uw stamboom de Teunis van der Meij, geboren in Gorssel op 11 oktober 1789, een persoon die mij opvalt.
Mijn vraag / gedachte is:
Deze Teunis is met het leger van Napoleon naar Rusland vertrokken.
Kan het zijn dat hij als 17/18 jarige al in dienst is gegaan, en in Amsterdam is terechtgekomen,
daar Jansje Swaron heeft ontmoet, met haar geleefd heeft, en dat, na zijn vertrek, Jansje weer bij haar familie is gekomen, die hoorde van Suze en haar hebben gehaald...
