Beiden worden op 01-01-1775 aldaar geregistreerd als lidmaten van de kerk als 'Gerrit Schuittert, de man en Geertrui Vincent, de vrouw'. Bij de VT 1795 wonen er 8 personen in het pand van het echtpaar. In 1800 bezit het echtpaar 10 koeien aan "Cents".

Persoon 15595.

In het testament van zijn vader d.d. 15-02-1753 wordt Gerrit een aantal keren genoemd. Hij dient daarbij duidelijk als “achtervang” voor zijn moeder Janna Jansen. Het is wat vreemd dat Gerrit als 16-jarige gekoppeld wordt aan Geertrui Vincent, waarbij er wel sprake geweest kan zijn van een gedwongen huwelijk (een miskraam komt niet in het geboorteregister!). Anderzijds is dit natuurlijk wel een fantastische deal voor de Schuitert- familie, waarbij de familie misschien ook wel een beetje met Gerrit in de maag gezeten heeft. Zijn moeder Janna Jansen hertrouwt in 1754 en gaat wonen op erve Broens. Zijn vader Jan is overleden. Misschien heeft hij in na het tweede huwelijk van zijn moeder bij zijn (halfbroer) Jan en diens vrouw Dine Ypeloo op de Zwaan gewoond. Lees ook de copie van de originele acte van 15-09- 1757. In deze acte wordt het contract opgesteld tussen de familie Vincent en het toekomstige echtpaar Gerrit Schuitert en Geertrui Vincent, waarbij erve Cents beschikbaar komt voor het aanstaande bruidspaar.
