Hun eerste kind wordt in de Beuseberg (oudershuis van Teune) geboren. Abraham is dan nog werkzaam in Colmschate. Nadien woont het echtpaar in de buurschap Langestraat/Dijkerhoek. Het pand heeft geen nummer en ligt aan 'Dissenplasmaat'. Dit is hoogstwaarschijnlijk de katerstede die op de kadasterkaart 1832 sectie D no. 116-117 als een 'eilandje' te midden van 'markegrond'. In de periode 1850-1860 is het adres van het pand Dijkerhoek 7. Abram blijft na het overlijden van zijn vrouw op het boerderijtje wonen. Zijn zoon Hendrikus trouwt bij hem in, waarna Abraham op 30-05-1853 verhuist naar Olst.
