Gerrit betaalt heerdstedegeld in 1765 voor zijn woning in het Zuidwoldiger Rot.
Gerrit en Stijntje komen in oktober 1740 als "Eheluiden" van de IJhorst met hun dochter Marrichjen naar Hoogeveen en worden daar in het kerkelijk register ingeschreven en toegelaten tot het Heilig Avondmaal. (Bron: boek Piet Kleine, blz. 13.
