Zij was abdes van Nivelles en had 3 kinderen bij Pepijn, w.o. Grimoald, die later de functie van z'n vader zou bekleden. Na de dood van Pepijn wijdde ze zich met haar jongste dochter Gertrude aan de Kerk, ontmoette in 647 St. Armand, die haar aanraadde een Klooster te stichten in Nivelles en werd daar Abdes. In 652 opgevolgd door haar dochter Gertrude.
