Reeds 7 dagen na de begrafenis van zijn 2e vrouw verkoopt hij al z'n huisraad en spullen van z'n vrouw op een veiling van 4/8 1758. Z'n eigen zoons moesten op deze veiling gewoon mededingem. Het is een enorme lijst van spullen, die onder de hamer komen.
