Notes about Sijmon Nicolai Baeten

Sijmon is vernoemd naar eerste echtgenoot van Henrica Berckels.

Op 12 juli 1728 maakt "den schepen Claes Baeten" zijn testament: "den welcken overdenkende de broosheijt des menschelijcken geslaghts, seekerheijt des doods ende onseckere uhre derselve, willende daeromme niet scheijden uijt dese werelt, voor en daerover sijne gereede goederen bij Godt van hemelrijck aen hem verleent gedisponeert en geordonneert te hebben". Ten eerste wil hij in "gewijder plaatse" begraven worden, ten tweede legateert hij zijn goederen als volgt: "soo wilt en begeert den testateur dat haer sijne afflijvigheijt alle deselffs gereede goederen sullen comen te desolveren in eijgendoms op Sijmon sijnen soon en Mery Cuijpers eheluijden". Verder legateert hij nog 250 gulden aan Sijmon en aan zijn andere kinderen en kleinkinderen en een stuk weiland aan Sijmon. Zie testament van Claes Baten d.d. 12-7-1728.
