    Wellicht heb ik Karel zijn naam teruggevonden in de katakomben te Valkenburg. Zijn naam staat er in combinatie met die van ene M. van Meulebroek, datum 1910. Daar Karel metselaar was is het dus goed mogelijk dat hij betrokken is bij de bouw van de katakomben, periode 1010-1912.
    Indien gewenst kan ik u een foto sturen en als gids kan ik u ter plaatse de in houtskool geschreven naam tonen.
