Shiremanstown is a borough in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census. William Bigler (January 11, 1814 – August 9, 1880), who was governor of Pennsylvania from 1852 to 1855 and later a U.S. senator, was born in Shiremanstown. Shiremanstown is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.
