Sveg is a locality and the seat of Härjedalen Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden with 2,547 inhabitants in 2010. The Swedish author Henning Mankell was brought up in Sveg, and it is the setting for his crime novel Danslärarens återkomst (The Return of the Dancing Master).
