Hotham is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 12 miles west of Hull city centre and 4 miles south of Market Weighton town centre. The village has good road links with the cities of Kingston upon Hull, York and Leeds. The M62 motorway is only a few miles from Hotham allowing easy access to the rest of the country. According to the 2011 UK census, Hotham parish had a population of 233, a decrease on the 2001 UK census figure of 256. The village has around 100 houses, is home to the Hotham Arms public house and has a village hall. Other amenities are found in the neighbouring villages of North Cave and South Cave. The village is under the York postcode and the local authority is the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
