Swanscombe is a small town, part of the Borough of Dartford on the north Kent coast in England. It is part of the civil parish of Swanscombe and Greenhithe. The parish, then called Swanscombe, was part of Axstane Hundred. It was later part of Dartford Rural District until the parish was erected into Swanscombe Urban District in 1926.
